Hello, hello! I'm really looking forward to this episode!!!! We are going to Milan with Sacyr to sneak into the work from Polyclinic Hospital (developed by the SIS consortium) in Milan, one of the largest and most innovative projects in all of Italy. I assure you that Building a Hospital of this caliber is another level!
Giulia, architect and head of production (aka the ultimate boss), shows us how to build a hospital from scratch. From prefabricated stairs that arrive by truck and are assembled like LEGO pieces, to ready-made bathrooms and BIM systems that control EVERYTHING from a tablet.
We also visited the X-ray rooms with lead walls, the Faraday cage We even have lights that mimic the sky to make patients feel more at ease. Afterwards we sat down to chat about what it's like to work on such a big project, the challenges of being women leading teams and what no one tells you about the hospital architecture. Such a project can literally save lives.
A beautiful episode, full of curiosity, inspiration and lots and lots of work!
