Ana Ye Zhang. Biomedical Engineer

Hello hello! Here I bring you another great episode of STEM girls, have you ever wondered how engineering can change people's lives? Today we had a visit from Ana Ye Zhang, a biomedical engineer, nurse who besides being an amazing person is CEO of Ownmed Innovation, a company that is thought to change the lives of millions of people as it is developing a revolutionary medical device designed for patients with ileostomies, colostomies and urostomies. In addition, when we met her we found ourselves in front of a woman who is an inspiration and a reference. Ana studied nursing and was practicing, also during the pandemic. While all this was going on, she was also studying biomedical engineering. It was her direct contact with patients that made her head spin and she thought she could change and improve people's lives.
